Are there House Rules and General Conditions? GDPR?
With prior consultation, there are numerous possibilities at Meeuwenveen. However, for the purposes of a safe and undisturbed stay there are, as in any organisation, basic rules and regulations for everyone to adhere to. For the business side of your stay there are also general conditions. These are straightforward and generally accepted as part of good business practise.
You can bring your own chef with you. If you don’t have that possibility then Meeuwenveen Accommodations can always offer a helping hand.
Who's cleaning the house?
The group has the responsibility for cleaning, both during their stay and before they leave.
Is there Internet? A piano? A sauna?
Yes, there is internet, as well as WiFi. There is also an authentic Roland FP-80 digital piano. Situated behind Building 3. you will find a wooden sauna for 6 people.
Do I have to bring my own bed linen and towels?
Yes, you can, but we also provide this service.
Is it necessary to bring my sports gear to Meeuwenveen?
You can walk directly into the woods where you will also find a mountain bike trail. A swim in the ‘Oude Vaart’ (Old Canal) is also possible.
How do I reach Meeuwenveen?
There are various ways to get to Havelte. One way is by bus, but this includes a walk of over one kilometre. Another is by train, including a regional taxi service. If you are arriving by car you will find more than sufficient parking possibilities.
Can I sleep outside, build a campfire, bring my dog?
At Meeuwenveen the possibilities are endless. Some guests even say that anything is possible. That is true, but to establish a clear agreement a pre-consultation is both necessary and mandatory.
Are there any floor plans of the buildings?
It’s possible to download floor plans of each building. These give a detailed indication of how buildings are divided, where they are located, the number of bedrooms and beds, and their guest capacity.
Who is Kees Middelweerd?
Since 1993 Kees Middelweerd has been the director of Meeuwenveen and in 2000, he became the owner. He previously studied architecture in Delft and ran a health-food company called Yakso.
