Yes, there is internet, as well as Wi-Fi. There is also an authentic Roland FP-80 digital piano. Situated behind Building 3 you will find a wooden sauna for 6 people.

Is it necessary to bring my sports gear to Meeuwenveen?

You can walk directly into the woods where you will also find a mountain bike trail. A swim in the ‘Oude Vaart’ (Old Canal) is also possible.

How do I reach Meeuwenveen?

There are various ways to get to Havelte. One way is by bus, but this includes a walk of over one kilometre. Another is by train, including a regional taxi service. If you are arriving by car you will find more than sufficient parking possibilities.

It’s possible to download the floor plans for each building. These give a detailed indication of how buildings are divided, where they are located, the number of bedrooms and beds, and their guest capacity.

Kees Middelweerd has been the director of Meeuwenveen since 1993 and since 2000 also the owner. He studied architecture in Delft and ran a organic food company called Yakso.
